Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee reviews the bylaws every two years and makes recommendations for amendments to MONL members.

Membership Committee

Chair- Alison Burrows

The Membership Committee recruits new members, enhances retention of members, and maintains the membership roster in the MONL Website.

Nominating Committee 

Chair- Barbara Jacobs

The Nominating Committee consists of 2-5 members, two of whom are the most recent past presidents of MONL, and a potential of 3 volunteers who are active members of MONL, serving on the committee for 1 year.  The immediate Past President is designated as Chair of the committee.  The Nominating Committee prepares a slate of candidates for President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and any other vacant positions that reflect the broad membership and program interest of MONL.  The list of candidates is submitted to the Secretary at least 30 days prior to the date of the election.

Nursing Management Consortium

Chair- Eugenia Powell

In keeping with the vision of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Maryland Nursing Management Consortium (MNMC) is committed to “Shaping the future of health care through innovative nursing leadership.”  The AONE mission is “To represent nurse leaders who improve health care. AONE members are leaders in collaboration and catalysts for innovation.”  The MNMC is committed to the growth and development of nursing leadership in the state of Maryland and neighboring regions.  The nursing management programs offered will provide quality education to these leaders in a collaborative and cost-effective format.

Nursing Research Council

Chair- Marian Chima

The mission is to build and/or validate knowledge and evidence necessary to influence the delivery of health care through proactive, collaborative nursing research and evidence-based practice (EBP).

Planning Committee

Chair- Katie Boston-Leary

The Planning Committee works to design program elements and offerings for MONL membership on a year-to-year basis and will organize educational events, speakers and topics of general interest to the membership at large.
